Luke Williams in for Alec Bohm at 3B today. Since he's been hurting us in the field, it's probably a good move to give Bohm a day off. It's not likely to matter which 3b is hitting against deGrom.
The opinion of Brad Miller's 3B defense these days must be really low. I was actually thinking Williams should start getting some starts in CF for Herrera against pitchers Herrera has had trouble with in the past. Bohm clearly needs an occasional day off and he does have issues against really good fastballs this year, but I also would not mind getting extra left-handed hitters in there against deGrom.
miller’s hitting has been pretty horrible, too.
Yea Miller can’t even put the ball in play.
I realize he has been bad the past few weeks, but he has a track record and it is kind of like he got buried after a handful of bad games. Happened to Maton too. He had like 2 or 3 bad games and then disappeared. When you are struggling and hurting for offense you don't just bury the guy who theoretically is your best hitter off the bench. They should have started Williams or Maton at SS and found a way to get Miller in the lineup against tough RHP.

Naturally I hope the Phillies win today, but DeGrom is such a joy to watch, the same way I felt about Halladay or Cliff Lee during their peak Phillies days. But DeGrom's stuff is even better.
