It looks like Nola gets more starts at catcher than Alfaro despite Alfaro's superior offense. I guess Nola's a much better catcher.

It looks like it's become close to an even split between Austin Nola and Alfaro in recent weeks, but Nola was definitely the starter at the beginning of the season. Not surprising given their track records and the fact that the Padres acquired Alfaro for essentially nothing (cash considerations) in the off-season.
