But he does now have a .722 OPS for the season. That, along with his better defense, may make him our best OF (or Marsh). That assumes his OF defense isnât bad, as he seems to be one of those guys that can play 7 positions competently (not sure CF is a good idea).
I donât know that a few starts, many of which are single game starts, are a good indicator. My point is that when a guy continues to play very well for this long and you have starters that are not very good, maybe it is time to make a move, no matter what the salaries of the players.
Certainly Sosa would be an improvement in RF. Probably in LF. Maybe at 3B. CF depends on his defense there, he isnât that fast so. Probably not. 2B is hard to call because Stott is a good defender.
In the future where Turner plays somewhere else, I would think you have to think about giving Sosa some consideration.
Obviously we have prospects that change these thoughts if they work out.
