But he hasn't actually hit better than the starters. It is true he hits better with some regular playing time, but not better with actual regular playing time. He has started 9 games in the last 28 days and has a .221 OPS before tonight, #10. It was .638 with 11 starts in May. He rocked it in April.
There is a reason they were happy to give Wilson a shot at the LF playing time and now they are giving it to Kemp. Now, that doesn't mean Sosa isn't actually better than Kennedy, you could still let him play 3B with Bohm at 1B occasionally but hopefully that's moot soon. He's our starting 2B against LHP and it's unfortunate both our 3B and SS are also RHBs, but so it goes.
