I think the comment up-thread about Nola struggling with the pitch clock is spot on. Rueben Amaro has been discussing during the broadcast problems that Nola seems to have with his mechanics while in the stretch. That seems to be accurate too.

I like Nola as a Phillie and hope he figures things out during the second half of the season. We’ll need him to make a run at the playoffs. In the meantime, here’s hoping that Nola has 2 or 3 good innings left today to hold onto this lead!

That Alec Bohm flyout was a home run in 16/30 Major League parks. It had an expected batting average of .710.

Nola has had the bad inning in some of his previous starts and then come back for a couple more scoreless innings, so I have hopes he can to the same today.

Bohm hit the ball very well flying out to end the inning. Close to the wall in center.
