Certainly another disappointing day.
I take heart in seeing the Phillies fight back after being down 8-0. They did not quit and had the tying runs on base at the end of the game.
Playing with a player day to day means playing with a disadvantage. When it becomes a hand full of players day to day, the team is really hurt. They will have to sort this out on the off day tomorrow and should make some roster moves before the game Tuesday.
Anderson had a bad game but as previously noted, he has done okay in most of his starts. He will continue in the rotation for at least a couple more turns.
Sadly, the sloppy play in the field continued today. I sense tension brewing on the team and Joe needs to sort things out and get the team back on board.
The good news is that it is a long season and the Phillies are in the thick of the NL East race. Plenty of time to right the ship and sail on to the post season.
For a road trip, this 9 game trip to three cities was not a disaster. They have played better at home. Time now to continue that and get some wins.
