Great win tonight. Outstanding game for JT and Luzardo with another gem.

Again, Romano gets out of the jamb and gets a save, but starting innings with a walk just grates on me. But as noted, the goal is to earn the save and the win for the Phillies. He did that.

Three caught stealing tonight, including the game ending strike out, CS double play. Great win and great start to this series.

The Apple TV telecast was improved last season over the first year at least. Year one they were leaning heavily into selling the game to people who were not regular baseball fans and it really got annoying at times.

I really enjoy the Apple TV broadcasts - that game came across as an almost playoff atmosphere.

The Dodger stories today are all about how the Dodgers lost the game and not how the Phillies beat them. Not sure Freeman would have made much of a difference against a tough lefty like Luzardo as well.

Ha, it's all just baseball. Sounds like the wind helped Luzardo keep a couple of balls in the park but JT still made some plays and even Romano still struck some guys out. He may have still gotten the third out if the call hadn't gone their way too.

Dodgers were also missing several key guys last year as the Phillies swept them here, IIRC.
