Hah perhaps. I don't quite have the luxury to skip todays game as if I'm lucky I get 2 games a week at a reasonable hour. And perhaps foolishly I still have some hope in this years team. Most likely because I didn't see the Velasquez game so the biggest mistake I've seen Kapler make is pulling Nola too early which on its own isn't so bad. That could all evaporate pretty quickly of course

If there's "good news" regarding the Facebook stream, it appears that it does not require you to have an account, nor to log in. I mean, it's all marketing, but if you can actually ignore their marketing, you could watch this without anybody plundering your contacts or personal information - I think.
Never mind. They seem to have "corrected" that. Meghan Montemurro had tweeted a link to the stream, which appeared to be working - but when you follow it now, it demands a login.

I already have an account so that doesn't bother me (it does but I've made my peace with it... mostly). I pay a pretty hefty fee for mlb.tv, and this is unquestionably a worse viewing experience than watching on my tv via the various mlb.tv apps.
They took away the single club subscription as far as I could see as well. Its clearly all about money rather than just trying to get more fans. If it was about appealing to new fans there would be no reason to prevent existing fans from accessing it in their traditional manner. This is like a National Broadcast blackout, designed to push people towards the only available source - except much more annoying. For me anyway, I'm not normally impacted by blackouts as a result of living on the other side of the world.

I believe I'm one of the younger posters on here at 30 years old and this Facebook stream is beyond annoying to me. I like you el-pietro pay the MLBTV streaming as I live in Louisville, KY. Also like you, I believe that if I pay for that I should be able to watch the game via that platform instead of being forced to watch it with comments popping up all over the place,

and you can also find all kinds if illegal streams, if you want to resist Facebook (and aren't worried about malware)

The thing is, when you pay for MLB.TV you know that it won't include any national broadcasts. If a game is on ESPN you have to watch it on ESPN. If it's on Fox you have to watch it on Fox. But I'm not sure this deal was announced prior to us being billed this year, or mentioned in the terms and conditions. Given it's only 25 games out of three of four thousand the refund wouldn't be very big though.

I guess when you subscribe to Comcast and its streaming app in the local markets you aren't necessarily promised a certain number of games, but I'm sure this is even more annoying for people in NY and Philly.

ha, yeah, I guess their overseas TV deals (and audiences) aren't big enough to require blackouts.I have fond memories of watching games on the BBC at 1am, and also using Real Player (audio) for the first time to catch a Flyers playoff game.
