Frankly, I don't get the ongoing buzz about Abel. His numbers haven't been all that great at any level and say to me that if he's a prospect, he's a fourth of fifth starter prospect, a younger version of Walker.
He's still young and still very much a prospect but no sign of him forcing his way into the rotation. A younger version of Walker would be still be a spectacular result for any drafted first-round pitcher, let alone a HS pitcher where he was taken.
