That's a more realistic lineup. It will be good to get another CF back healthy. Not at all sure about Vierling. His plus results in Philly last year looks like luck: lots of K's, not enough BB, only 71 AB. This after a distinctly unimpressive 206 AB in Allentown to a .690 OPS, but with a good OBP and BB and K rates. His poor start this season brings his MLB career OPS down from last year's .843 OPS to .725, which is just a bit below his minor league OPS. His minor league OPS was boosted by his rookie season in Lakewood and Williamsport. Without that, he's been sub-.700 OPS in the rest of his minor league career. A long-winded way of saying that, although he definitely is in an early-season slump, we probably shouldn't expect better than his .690 OPS at Allentown as his MLB normal. If he can play good D in CF, then an OPS just over .700 is likely acceptable.
