Interesting. So the whole "TV needs to wait for the regularly scheduled days" that we heard after the championship series ended early meant very little.

The only WS Game 3 played at the Phillies home park that wasn't delayed was in 1983, it seems, but in that game DeJesus made an error that led to the go ahead run on the wet turf.

I remember them starting Gm 3 in 1993 after CBS was done airing their big hit show "Rescue 911" with William Shatner and the rain hadn't let up any.

Why not Wheeler in game 5? Then he might be able to back up Nola for a couple of innings in game 7 if needed.

They want extra rest for Wheeler. Anything that doesn’t work can be and will be second guessed, but I think the extra day off helps the Phillies.

Wheeler's velocity was off last game. He probably needs the rest and will only pitch one more time anyway.
