Agreed, though it was gonna be hard to get had he not recovered from those first couple of batters! A microcosm of his career, really.
I still think there's a chance he comes back, and also, I wonder if he ever got vaccinated (because if the issue was clubhouse leaders being against it, he is certainly a clubhouse leader, and he was the first go public).
Really the story of his Phillies career is more that the Phillies were never able to have enough good/healthy relievers around him. This was probably the first year they pulled that off. His durability, and the fact that he was generally above-average, looks pretty good next to all the guys who stunk or just couldn't pitch at all.
