TruckDay on Wednesday! Phillies Pack Up for Spring Training & Head to Clearwater
Pitchers & catchers first official workout on Tuesday, February 14
WHAT: It’s the first sign of Spring in Philadelphia. On Wednesday, Feb. 8, the Phillies are packing up Citizens Bank Park and heading south for Spring Training at Spectrum Field in Clearwater, Florida.
The extensive undertaking will start early that morning outside the Phillies clubhouse, as dozens of Phillies employees load thousands of items onto the Phillies’ 53-foot equipment truck.
Once the final item is loaded, the truck will be on its way – with help from the Phillie Phanatic and Phillies Ballgirls.
The Phillies’ equipment truck will travel 1,058 miles, passing through eight states, before being unloaded at its final destination of Spectrum Field on Friday, February 10 – just four days before the first official workout for Phillies pitchers and catchers on Tuesday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day).
WHO: Dan O’Rourke, Manager, Phillies Equipment & Umpire Services, Phillie Phanatic and Phillies Ballgirls will help send off the equipment truck.

11 a.m. Phillies equipment truck departs via Phillies Drive
