Well the good news is Moore's focus has been solely on his current job since the off week, the bad news is the Eagles probably won't get tampering compensation.

Nick only makes $5 million a year and Ben Johnson just got $13. Imagine what Nick's next deal is gonna be.

Reviews on the Kellen Moore offense this year have been mixed, anyway. Defense has carried this team for the most part, followed by Barkley's running (Stoutland is the run game coordinator). The Eagles might not have been eager to pay Moore more (ha), as some inside the building think the offense has underperformed given the talent.

And the O-Line had to take Moore and Sirianni aside and ask him to change the offense.

I'm a little worried if they do just make the internal hire of Sirianni's guy after doing just the opposite this last time, but Brian Johnson was also hired to please Hurts as much as Nick.

That story does show just how byzantine the offensive roles can be. All four of these guys - the HC, the OC, the passing game coordinator and the running game coordinator - always have a role.

But they will also probably lose some other assistants (two of them came with Moore from San Diego).

Just freaking make Jalen Hurts the OC. Only way he will ever get the same guy 2 years in a row in his adult life I guess.

Moore is good and will probably be a good HC but it's not like he ever got to a conference championship or Super Bowl with Dallas or San Diego, nor was he with Dallas last year when they won the division). And in the end it's always about the talent (and QB health). Would be far more distressing, as far as this team, if Fangio or Stoutland were on the job market.

Absolutely, but at some point it has to start to wear on Hurts to learn another new offense. He could be spending all of that time perfecting his craft, he still has flaws, but I feel like he doesn’t even get a chance to work on them.

I am a huge fan of his, having an ultra-intelligent QB is a huge plus, and this guy is EXACTLY the mental guy I would want, smart, reserved, classy and an excellent leader. I just wish he had could “perfect” some of the offense, not re-learn it.

I don't think it's going to be a new offense, and it wasn't supposed to be a significantly new offense under Johnson either. Many other things just went wrong.

This is a new offense but if they have the same offensive-minded HC, run game coordinator and pass game coordinator (or he becomes the OC) it shouldn't be a huge change. The bigger change this year was probably Barkley, and Moore changing what he wanted out of Hurts after the 2-2 start.

Just like when teams swing from player's coaches to tough coaches, it's easy to swing between internal hires and outside hires. What happens tonight will still probably determine who gets hired and how (as well as Nick's new deal).

The passing game can't perform at a high level if the running game dominates possession time. It's impossible. Regardless, I don't think bad passing calls caused it; it's the quarterback.

Well, I happen to be a fan of the other (more prestigious ) Pennsylvanian NFL team, but good luck to you guys tonight. Obviously Barkley's had a special season, but there are also a number of players the Eagles have picked up in recent drafts whom I liked - pulling off Carter and Davis in back-to-back years, then Mitchell and DeJean in the same draft was equally frustrating and admirable to watch.

Best of luck stopping the three-peat!!
