It's statements like this which cause the level of pushback you have received. First of all, Hurts as he arrived in Philly certainly was not one of the top 3-6 players in the NFL. He improved significantly between the 2021 and 2022 seasons. That's largely coaching. It also is a matter of the Sirianni and his coaches being sufficiently flexible and low-ego to adopt a game plan tailored to what Hurts does best, rather than their system of choice.
Being a top H.S. recruit or a Heisman finalist is FAR from a guarantee of even a mediocre NFL career. Many Heisman WINNERS are complete or close to complete busts in the NFL. Few make top 10 in the league ranking. As for top-rated H.S. recruits... that is even less of a predictor of NFL success.
If Hurts were such a sure thing who wasn't in need of coaching to improve his performance, and if that is as obvious as you claim, based upon his credentials and where he is today, then it seems very odd that we wasn't drafted until the 2nd round.
And... Sirianni didn't inherit a strong team. He inherited a losing team in turmoil. That's why his predecessor was fired.
