Yea defense was really good in 2nd half. Offense has been good all season other than the fact that we have a hard time getting it in the end zone.

not a bad game. left some points on the field, but the D really picked up the second half. When does Devonta's contract run out? I can see him going into free agency. the kid could be an easy #1 on many teams. ever since Brown's tirade, he has been a lost player. short little screens, short square outs. Except for the long one last week agains Washington, he has been forgotten.

DeVonte's contract is through next season - 2024. Eagles can exercise a 5th year option for the 2025 season.

I agree with what you say -- when I talk about the best option at C I was thinking short term, as in the weeks where Jurgens is on the IR. One of the downsides of having only two centers on the roster this year -- and having both of them starting, is that you kinda double your chances of an injury which would trigger a need for a backup. But they have none on the practice squad or elsewhere. That is what I was meaning about a best option. Don't know who that person would be, but I don't like the thought of playing the next 3 weeks with Kelce being the only "trained" OC on the roster.

Nope, when it's the Cowboys you just want them to suffer regardless of any calculation about NFC East titles or NFC home field. But you also can't get the latter without the former.

The Philadelphia fan base has taken a strong dislike to the Whining Niners players and fans since the NFC title game last year. For some fans, it's even stronger than the Dallas antipathy (for now, wait until something happens with Dallas this year). Eagles boards seemed split before last night's game over who they'd like to lose. I find myself on the fence right now. Doesn't keep me from being glad we have a 2-game lead in the division. Our schedule gets really hard really soon.

Oddly enough the Niners still have the same flaw that they had in the NFC championship game. They have a black hole at RT. Reddick destroyed them, he was literally in the backfield waiting for the QB on passing downs.

I think we still have that huge advantage that other teams just don’t seem able to exploit. With our DL they can’t “cover” for the big hole like they can with other teams, only the Eagles have 5-6 real threats on the pass rush.

True but the Eagles offense isn't as good last year (at least not yet) and the Eagles defensive backs are playing worse. The revenge factor may come into play as well. Sometimes the small things can give a team an edge.

Yes. But the advanced metrics, especially success rate, should take that into consideration.
