He's kind of a dirty player, lots of fines and suspensions. But he's our dirty player now. (I'm actually a fan because he's from Portland, owns a bunch of restaurants there too.)

not sure how to call this one. was Monday night's game an anomaly, and a start to some losses on the way. or will they come back an win with a good game. Ryan always scares me when they play against him. we'll see.

Right now it's looking like the speed-bump of the season has arrived. Tough road game against an improving team and the next two aren't easy either. But we'll see how the second half goes (and I could also see them coming home and trouncing Green Bay, a team that's probably better than its record but also not great).

Too many penalties and that was terribly conservative play calling on that last series. Gainwell? The inside obviously clogged, clogged, clogged so he doesn't even try to cut outside. Missed tackles didn't help.

Wasn't over, but Hurts won't last long if he has to run like that. Took a bunch of hits and made some incredible plays.

On the other hand, resilient performance on the road against a team that beat Oakland on the road with a new head coach just last week. And they got both the last score and the last stop.

And man, did y'all catch the end of the Jets-Pats game after?

Yes, ugly win but better than a loss. I'm also scared when Hurts runs like that. I don't think there was a single TE reception in the game. That and the penalties show how poor our backup TEs are. I may have missed it but our blocking TEs didn't seem to be doing a superior job of blocking either.

Atown, Stoll caught a 2 Yard pass very early in the game. I think the offensive game plan was very poor. you can't not even use the tight ends after using the position a ton in the previous games. I know they are missing an All Pro but you have to use the position to help open the other ones. I would have tried to use the tight end early to turn a negative into a partial positive. As you know, I am not a coach but I would have tried that. Maybe this week against the packers. Still, received that they turned a possible loss into a win. The big new fellas really helped out.

Gannon once again doing nothing to stop one of the worst offenses in the league. Rushing 4 on every play. Running the exact same bend don't break defense on every play, no variation at all, except doing it against a guy that knows how to beat that defense. Any chance he will be hired by someone to be a Head Coach at halftime?

Now Love in and we are still not trying to pressure him. I am absolutely mystified why anyone thinks Gannon knows what he is doing. Yes, the defense is very good, but it is despite the play calls. Have we run the exact same defensive play on every play?

It was not a good showing on D tonight, but we got the win. I share your wonder that Gannon is regarded as someone who will be sought after for a head coach position. He seems not to get the results that the level of defensive talent should provide.

it seems that a lot of the opposing receivers are wide wide open over the middle and the Eagle's receivers have so many contested passes over the middle. is it their offense, the opposing defense, Hurts' timing, or the eagles defensive backs? many easy completions for the Pack. Hurts was under a lot of pressure last night and had to throw a bunch of passes away. Even with that, a very nice win. the Pack might have found their future QB.

They said last year that Gannon's defense didn't work because he didn't have the right players (Rich Kotite vibe) but now that they have pro-bowl level players at many positions his scheme "works" - however - it does seem like many football minds could run a successful defense with these players. It's an illogical conclusion, much like Lisa Simpson's tiger rock.
