I am salivating at Barmore next to Fletcher, but am fine with anyone on my board. Campbell ran a 4.37 at his pro day.... what is the knock on him?

The other corner from his team ran a 4.29, that's the only problem, Campbell would be fine at 37, so would any of the other guys you listed and also Samuel Jr. would be a good fit. I think the d-backs are the focus in round two, there is still strong CB and the best S in the draft are still on the board, so I would be happy with Moehrig, Samuel Jr. or Campbell. I'd like LB Jabril Cox in the 3rd.

Stokes was widely known as one of the fastest players in CFB before workouts. If Campbell ran .1 (or less) behind him, then what exactly is the problem?

I was saying that sarcastically, he was bypassed by a workout, or you could say Mamulaed, there is no problem with him, I'd be okay if the Eagles took him, I personally prefer Samuel Jr..

Gotcha. Without a common workout, I know pro days can be viewed as manipulated times.

IMO, Campbell is much better in man defense and seems to have good instincts and measurables. Not a bad player, but I think Samuel should be a late 2nd or early 3rd.

I guess it's crowded, but Smith seems to be the best one by a mile. I like Reagor more than most, have always like Ward, and Fulgham had a few great games... but if the Eagles drafted a WR with the next pick, then they would probably be the 2nd best WR on the team.

meant to reply to this sooner. I am not giving up on Reagor, he was injured and never got going, but I think the talent is there, with a fresh full camp and healthy, he may still be a really good player. He'll forever be in the shadow of Jefferson, but now with Smith, he might be a great # 2.

So, I the only one that thinks it would be funny to get Asante Samuel Jr. He is listed as the 5th best player available and we have the 5th pick and an obvious need at CB (and of course LB, TE, DL and S).

I'd be okay with that, but if Moehrig is there, I'd be hard pressed to pass on him.

This can't be true. Maybe he's light for his height, but he's willing to tackle and does well in press.

The narrative shifted pretty quickly there. It was definitely a knock on the Giants when the Eagles and Cowboys made the move, but then they spun it into gold. We'll see how Toney and Smith compare I guess.

I don't think you have to compare Toney to Smith. The fact that the Giants got a similar package to what the Eagles got is telling that the Giants made a good trade. Also, the Eagles had to add a 3rd rounder to get Smith.

I love the dynamic of the ramifications between the 3 teams, though.

Since it is possible we might have taken Smith at #6 I figure Howie did well. We added a first round next year (in a much, much deeper draft)

I hope we trade some of our picks for picks next year and Ertz also brings us something in next years draft. Simple fact is this is a rebuilding / lost season. This is an 8-8 team at the absolute best, possibly much, much worse. This is a very weak draft, so anything we can push into an abnormally deep draft next year is better.

Why? The Eagles will likely have 3 first round picks next year. The team already had a lot of picks this year. If anything, I was hoping they'd trade up into the late 1st round yesterday.

Well, Eagles are on the clock and they take with the 37th pick, G Landon Dickerson.

They probably think that this is Kelce's last season. Coming off a knee injury, or he would have gone higher. Can't say I love the pick, with the secondary being so weak. I think they could have traded back a few spots and still gotten him.

Not a good pick in my opinion. Guy is one more injury away from being done.

I just hope the medical reports were all very promising, as part of due diligence. The O-line did give up a massive amount of QB hits and sacks. Offensive line was a need.
