You can't IR Rodgers without rostering him. I think they just release him with an injury settlement.

I'd keep Ward over Hollins. I agree that Edwards has shown enough to make the team and would get signed by someone and not make it to our practice squad.

Perkins vs. Ellis is a coin flip to me--either would be OK.

Otherwise I think you're spot-on.

I really suspect Miller is about to come down with the sniffles or a boo boo and end up on IR. Just seems like he needs a redshirt year and we need the roster spot.

I can't see them cutting Hollins, he is just coming back and he probably is our best gunner / Special Teams player. Jackson needs a backup and he is really the only choice, none of the other receivers have the speed / explosiveness to be a deep threat (despite what Whiteside showed in game 3).

If you are cutting Devon Hester, the hero of our playoff game last year, you have a deep roster. This should be a fun season if our CBs can actually slow down the passing games and if our veterans (we have too many older players honestly) can mostly stay healthy.

Big things is when will Brooks be ready. He have a very good OL with him, wihout him we are honestly pretty suspect at guard. Our other guard (presumably Seumalo) is already the weakest link, but adding a backup (although Vitai has looked good) is just asking for trouble. Kelse is a great center, but he is more of a agile rather than extreme powerful guy, and putting 2 questionable guards next to him just invites teams to bull rush the middle of the line.

It is a shame to lose the 4th round pick, but Sendejo won the job clearly.

Clear that you cut Adams. I can't picture they would lose Miller. Too high a draft pick in spite of his being an obvious project. Assume that you put Rogers on IR?

if you cut Toth, after 3 days of practice and 1 game, will the Steelers lurk around again just like Vilanueava? He really didn't look too bad after only that short time of playing. Granted, against Jets backups. but he looks like a future player to me.

Wow, LeSean McCoy was released by the Bills. I dont see a need for us, but he will find a job pretty fast I assume. He isnt what he once is and has a bit of an attitude, but he is certainly still good enough for someones roster.

Cuts announced to date have been Boston Scott, Hester, Wisniewski, Josh Adams, Alex Ellis and Smallwood.

Unfortunately Jordon Matthews was also cut by the Niners. Theoretically that would mean that the Eagles would lose both of their 4th round draft picks for Tate and Hicks if both Fort and Sendejo stay on the roster.

PC. i saw your post on the other site (now copied above--PC, mod) about the Redskin game. i think they will struggle also. we'll see if they can be successful on the fly. i think a 2-2 start is in the forecast until all get their feet wet. my advice to the eagles is to keep foles loose. oops...nevermind.
