The way I like to look at this is that it is fun to be able to pursue a playoff spot in a season where the Eagles are really not good enough, in large part due to injuries. Most teams could not sustain such a rash of injuries and still be in the hunt. Sure, it's because the rest of the NFC East is mediocre to awful. But it was a lot of fun to watch them beat the Cowboys.
While the Eagles were better than they have been lately, they were still lucky yesterday. if the Cowboys receivers didn't drop so many passes, this could have been very uncomfortable. But besides the players who were out, some other key players were playing hurt and still contributed. Goeddert, of course, was huge. Wentz only fumbled once, and he recovered it. It was nice to see him passing better (and running, too). Sanders had some big plays (though he was stuffed a couple of times in key situations). Elliott had a couple of misses, one of them pretty bad. It wasn't a dominant performance by any means, but there were a lot of standout performances, and the Cowboys never led.
It would be a crushing letdown to lose to the Giants, but I don't expect that to happen.
