Dillard has been very good on the left. He's an agile pass blocker, but he doesn't do what Peters does on the run. He doesn't get beaten as often as you think, though--PFF gives him a high rating. I agree with Lawman that it was an incredibly stupid decision to start him on the right for the first time in a big game.

And, with experience, I suspect he can be every bit as good as Peters. He's a rookie.

Well, I’m not sure he gets to no doubt first ballot HOF status like Peters, but that is hardly an indictment. He’s been fine if not perfect on the left side this year, and he and Lane as bookends for the next few years is one of the few things (including Wentz) that this team obviously has going for it.

Hearing alot about the next few games as easy wins. i hope the eagles aren't over looking anyone. i don't think this sunday is a walk over. Dolphins aren't that good but, remember that Fitz ate the eagles defense alive last year. he will be looking to do that again. Do the Dolphins have the receivers to do it? i don't know them. Offense has to break out of the slump or maybe Sudsy gets some action.

Y'know, this could still be one of those years where a 7-9 or 8-8 team wins a division. Namely, ours.

Yeah, Dallas looked awful at home vs a team we handled pretty easily yesterday, and they have two reasonably difficult games the next two weeks before they come to Philly. That week 16 game looks like it will pretty much determine the division, unless we collapse against Miami, NYG, and Washington.

Of if Dallas lose to both Chicago and LA. Unlikely but not unthinkable. If they lose both and Eagles win against New York Miami and Washington then the Dallas game has no effect on the division race.

Amazingly, things are starting to line up for the eagles. As poorly as they have played, at times, they could still win the division. No slip ups needed on Sunday. Take care of business and start getting confidence back for the offense. D can keep growing and don't let Fitz tear you apart.

Dallas are 3-6 in their last 9 games, we'll be 5-4 with a win tomorrow. But, they beat us in one of those three.

Even if the Cowboys lose their next two and we win all three, we want to beat them to void the head-to-head tiebreaker. No reason to make that last game @ NYG must-win (or even one where you play the starters).

Probably doesn't come to that but the Cowboys sure don't look like they can win in Chicago right now. The Rams game is probably winnable if they can get out of the spiral.

I agree 100%, just pointing out that there is a scenario in which the Eagles could lose to Dallas and still win the division. Of course in that scenario you would be extremely confident of a first round exit. T
The ideal scenario is players come back healthy over the next few weeks, some momentum is built up beating up on these bad teams and the Eagles have a bit of a statement win over the Cowboys to give confidence going into the playoffs.
I don't see this as a Super Bowl team in any scenario but winning the division and making the division round would, getting Wentz some playoff experience in the process would be a positive outcome to an otherwise miserable year.
I'm pretty scared of the prospect of facing any of Seattle, Green Bay, Minnesota, San Francisco or New Orleans in the playoffs but at the same time we've already seen them beat Green Bay, and they somehow kept their head above water against Seattle despite missing some key offensive contributors and a very poor game from Wentz due to a very impressive defensive performance so its not inconcievable that with some luck they could make the conference game.
Similarly they have done reasonably well against the Jets and Patriots who both look like they will be playoff teams. Baltimore is a different beast but run stopping seems to be one of the strengths in Philly this year so who knows.

I've just talked myself into a Super Bowl, but in all honesty winning the division and squeaking through the first round game would be great.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Desean Jackson would be off the IR in time for the 1st round of the playoffs. If he is and is fully healed from the surgery, I'd like the Eagles chances a lot more to get further into the playoffs.

He was lucky in LII it looks like. Poorly coached team. Maybe it was Reich, or just a great combination of coaches.

They gave up 5 consecutive touchdown drives to a team that had scored only 18 TDs in its previous 11 games. C'mon.
