Eagles 2017-2018 Season - Super Bowl Champions

Way, way to much confidence in this area. people are touting the eagles trenches (both offensive and defensive) and not giving enough credit to the patriots lines. people are saying the eagles will be able to run at will against the patriots defensive front and the defensive front will man handle the patriots offensive line. they are 14-3 or 15-3 for a reason. does foles come back to earth? do the eagles take too long to get started? i don't like the attitude. patriots have the refs in there back pockets, have experience, can cheat (what have they cooked up for this game). i see patriots by a touchdown here and ending the eagles season. great year and best is yet to come.

I'm telling myself the Patriots are going to win. This way, if they do win, I won't be too disappointed. And, of course, as much as I want the Eagles to win, I don't see them beating the Pats. Not that they can'r or won't.....but I don't think they will.

I think everyone knows the stakes on Sunday and the significant obstacles and is emotionally preparing in their own way. I've decided to just watch the game at home with some family and my good friend Jack Daniels

I haven't expected them to win a playoff game yet but why start now? I'm not in Philly so I don't know what sort of exuberance is in the air; between the polls and the national coverage most people are expecting a Pats win. But nobody's ever not expected a Pats win. We know it can be done. This defense can follow the Giants model. And this offense is probably effective right now than the last Super Bowl team. (Crazy - bad omen? - that it was Atlanta and Minnesota then.)

If you wanna see a fan base that was overly exuberant, read this. I don't think there is one person in Philly who was ever this optimistic. I guess it must be Minnesota optimism.

Look at it this way....last time it was Minnesota then Atlanta. This time its Atlanta then Minnesota....so the Super Bowl outcome will be reversed this time...

Two things...first, we all know the Patriots are good. When you get to a super bowl, you're not going to be playing a crappy team. They are an historic dynasty, we all know that. HOWEVER, a better (possibly the best) Patriot team managed to lose to the Giants in Super Bowl 46, and another better Pats team than this year's lost to the Giants in Super Bowl 42. Neither of those Giants teams was special. The game is winnable--the Pats do lose games, regular season games, playoff games, and Super Bowl games. We will have to play well, but you should play well to win the Super Bowl.

And no one is saying the Eagles should dominate both lines of scrimmage and easily run the ball. The Pats can scheme to stop the run if they choose to. But there should be some opportunities elsewhere if they do.
