Ed Ott was a state runner up in high school wrestling during his high school days in addition to his baseball playing . I briefly worked with his brother back in the day. He was often seen at local hometown events in recent years watching young relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by many in his hometown area.

I always respected Lieberman during his career in politics. He seemed to be a good person.

It is interesting to me to note that others born the same year are still active in politics and in fact appear to be on their way to running for another term as president.

Akebono created a minor Sumo surge in the US in the 1980s in his prime. If he could get his hands on you, you were leaving the ring unless his momentum took him out. His biggest competitor was Takahanna (sp?) who was half his size but very fast and strong. They had epic battles of two different approaches to Sumo.
