He was on the path to a certain call up this September, maybe before. I wonder if the team can petition for an exemption or just use a roster spot for a day and call him up just to complete his dream.
Hope he is recovering well. My (first) wife died 12 years ago from a stroke and Leukemia, so I have a sense of just how horrible a stroke can be. Hope his outcome is positive, maybe even getting to play again, but honestly at this time that is a minor concerning compared to a 23 year old just having a good life.
