Luis Garcia Number One Overall in GCL. No other Phillies in the 20 which seems ridiculous to me given we had a couple of 17-18 year old catchers who threatened hitting .400

Its out on hard copy which I don't have with me right now. I will update when I get home. A little crazy that you can have 2 18 year old Catchers with .900 OPS (Aparicio and O'Hoppe) and an 18 year old physical freak like Carlos De La Cruz and none crack the 20 though the GCL is always loaded I think.

If I am recalling correctly Ronny Maurcio, SS, Mets was SECOND and Matthew Liberatore LHP, Rays was THIRD

Wow, I was way off....I didn't realize how little time Kelenic spent in the GCL.

Luis Garcia at #1 in that stacked league makes me happy. Do you think they push him to Lakewood?

Luis Garcia is the Great Hope for Phillies position players...#1 prospect in the GCL is saying something...let’s sign Machado, play him at short for the next two-ish years and then push him to 3rd for Garcia to take over at short and have a devastating IF of Rhys/Kingery/Garcia/Machado for many years...or am I getting a bit ahead of myself?

Aparicio looks like he's a bit big-bodied already- I would bet that's at the crux of his not being ranked, and O'Hoppe was such a surprise he didn't have pedigree on his side (besides not starting a lot).

If de la Cruz posts another .800+ OPS in Lakewood (will be disappointing if he only gets to WMPT) he will shoot up the prospect charts given his beastly physique. His complete lack of pedigree must be holding him down as a fluke in BA’s eyes.

I can't imagine de la Cruz going to Lakewood since he is so raw. And young though he has a late birthday. Like it or not, draft pedigree matters on these lists. He also has a swing that is really long. Probably a major question tool-wise as to whether he can handle upper level pitching.
