The Phillies have several relievers that could be better the rest of the season than any reliever they might trade for at the deadline. Then again, the reliever traded for might be just what they need. Relievers just are subject to being streaky. I do, however, think they will try to add another reliever and hope he can contribute.
Without question, Alvarado has had a rocky July, but he could be lights out in September and October. He certainly has shown that he can be very effective.
I anticipate adding an outfielder and a reliver, but do not anticipate a blockbuster deal.
