I've never found Houston or Seattle to be any more or less aesthetically pleasing than CBP to be honest. All the ballparks in the post-Camden Yards era wound up being pretty generic IMO. At this point we should be so lucky as to settlle for retractable. Not just smoke, but heat, and levels of rain/cold beyond what used to be normal. Obviously baseball is an outdoor game.
I had not seen where the WNBA postponement had anything to do with air quality inside the arena, though that would certainly be an issue if they don't have proper filtration, plus you couldn't keep the smoke out with people coming and going. But I would think the real reason was to keep fans from being outside/on buses & subways going to the game. They just happen to be the only indoor league playing right now.
