Detroit has played well vs Sixers in spurts this season. Can't take them for granted. They need to be locked in from the start. And Maxey might be pretty worn out from his 54 minute outing Sunday.

If they go 3-0 this week they have a decent shot at the 6 seed. Need to remain focused...

One of the best signs of the good coaching from Nurse is the development of Kelly Oubre as a much better team player. Better defense, and his assist total progressing from a ridiculously low 1.1 per game to 2.5 per game. Nurse has really helped Oubre change his game and get paid!

The Pacers have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Sixers. Miami and Sixers both 2-2 so the tiebreaker is conference record. Either way the Sixers need Miami to lose their game in hand but if that's to Dallas (they also play Atlanta and Toronto twice) it won't change the tiebreaker.

They all have pretty easy schedules but my guess is today's standings are how it's gonna end up.

Indiana, Orlando, Cavs, and the Knicks can also theoretically finish behind us if we win out and they lose out I think. Take care of business and see what happens...

6 would be nice. I think we would be favored against Orlando with Embiid. Of course that assuming he can hold up.

Obviously any series against any #3 would be preferable to play-in. And 7 would still be much better than 8.

The Sixers have a chance to win 47 games and finish with the 8th best record in the Eastern Conference.

That has never happened since the playoff format expanded to 16 teams.

Sixers with another win and the Bucks avoided a serious injury with Giannis...the fear was an achilles but it looks like a calf injury...which could also be a long term issue.

Heat lost today, so the Sixers are now in the 7th spot and need 2 games to pass Indiana, but at least if they stay in the 7th spot, the playoff game will be at home. I kind of want them in the 7th spot, I'd rather play the Bucks, I think the Sixers, right now only missing Covington, who could be back soon, would match up well, especially if Giannis is not 100%

no doubt that's what they want if they can't get to 6. That was probably still true even with a healthy Giannis - and he'll probably still be a factor. Just requires a lot of faith to think the team we are seeing currently will maintain the same level of health and performance even through the first round, let alone the second.

But, at least they are the best spring team in Philly again!

Sixers beat the Magic last night so the Sixers are still in the 7th seed, but the Sixers, Pacers and Magic all have the same record, so final seeding will unlikely change, here are the last games for each team;

Sixers vs. Nets
Pacers vs. Hawks
Magic vs. Bucks

The Bucks will be without Giannis and Dame, so the Magic likely wins. Pacers should beat the Hawks, the Hawks are locked into the 10th seed, so they have nothing to play for other than spoilers if they want to ding the Pacers. The Sixers should handle the Nets.

So, I'd be looking for the Sixers to host the Heat when the play-in rounds begin, but if the Sixers win the 7th seed, now it looks like they will be playing the Knicks if they get past the Heat, unless the Bucks beat the Magic or the Knicks lose to the Bulls. So the Bucks kind of hold their own fate as to who they want to play. If they want to avoid the Sixers more than the Pacers or the Magic, they can just fold and be the 3rd seed.

Of course Sixers could also lose to the Heat and then win the next game. Then it would be Boston.

And Magic or Pacers or both could still lose. Then 6 or even 5 is in play.

The first article I read said No, sixers can finish anywhere from 5-7. Sixers would have had a better shot at sixth if Indiana beat Cleveland last night because of the tie breaker rules.

Which I copied from below. However, Miami is only one game back, and holds the tiebreaker over Philly. So if Miami wins and Philly loses, and Miami has the tiebreaker, then it seems Miami could be 7 and Philly 8. I don't know why ESPN didn't report that in its scenarios.

• Orlando will finish fifth if it wins against Milwaukee, by virtue of winning the Southeast Division. Indiana will finish fifth if it wins against Atlanta and Orlando loses. Philadelphia will finish fifth if it wins and Indiana and Orlando both lose.

• Indiana will finish sixth if it wins and Orlando wins. Philadelphia will finish sixth if it wins and Indiana or Orlando loses.

• Philadelphia will finish seventh if it wins and Orlando and Indiana both win. Miami will finish seventh if the Heat win against the Toronto Raptors, the 76ers and Pacers win and the Magic lose.

• Miami will finish eighth if it loses or the Heat, Magic, 76ers and Pacers all win.

The Bucks need to beat the Magic to hold the 2-seed. They will be playing hard, and it's not an automatic win for the Magic.

Well as XO said the Bucks may be happy to just rest up and play the sixth-seeded Sixers. They can make it happen by losing to Orlando so long as the Sixers win. As the 2 they'd still play the Sixers or Heat or Pacers, though obviously there's still a lot to be said for drawing the play-in team as well as home court in round 2.

It's really great he got paid. One of the best per minute players on the team, Nurse needs to find a way to use him next season. 15 mins/game as an energy guy at least!

Everybody wins, sixers get 7th spot in the play ins

Sixers win, Pacers win, Magic win, so it’s the 7th seed. Knicks and Bulls are coming down to the wire, Knicks win, they are the 2nd seed, lose and it’s the Bucks.
