And yeah, Marchan frees up Knapp but you're also not allowed to dip into your non-40 pool until you have a certain # of people out, and we literally have no remaining bats besides Moniak

I agree.. but I think alot of people were thinking he and Moore were both horrid.. Anderson needs to go deeper but he hasnt been bad. And one game he got removed, not because he was pitching bad, but because they PH early to try to get offense.

The good news has to be even though Realmuto isn't in the starting lineup again tonight, they must feel he is capable of playing if needed.

This also seems like a loophole in the Covid "IL" to me. So Didi must have had symptoms of a cold, so they place him on the IL and are able to call up a back up catcher since their starter is hurting. Apparently Realmuto is now capable of playing so the back up to the back up isn't needed any longer so they are able to place a player who got "dinged" up last night on a covid list and call up another outfielder. How was Didi cleared so quickly a negative test or the symptoms disappeared? Did Quinn have symptoms?

If Quinn has COVID they just need to vent him now based on his health history.

It's hard not to think they aren't abusing the COVID IL. The parameters should be pretty well-defined given they all wear contact tracing devices and get tested. I wonder if teams have some leeway not to put guys on it... but then can be more aggressive if it suits them.

Between this and the long trend of reliever revolving doors, why even have a 10-day IL? The Phillies shouldn't have to play without Harper for three days but they also shouldn't have to be without him for 10 (or in his case, 7) if it isn't needed.

I assume MLB is trying to justify this with COVID reasoning. But no batters were hit. No punches were thrown. Seems very harsh to me.

The COVID reasoning would be fine if there had been any consistent enforcement whatsoever (including of managers unmasking etc.).

I can see how Alvarado got suspended. I can't believe it will remain at three games. I wonder if this number is picked knowing it will be appealed and reduced making everyone feel better in the long run. MLB got a suspension and the player feels like they won some games back?

I can confirm that you can get a little sick from the second round vaccination. Fever, headache... yeah. Been there...

This is a good thing, mind you. This is your immune system reacting the way it's supposed to react. And it only lasts one day - a little tired the next day, but symptoms gone. But it wasn't a very pleasant day.

Don't let it deter you. One day with a low-grade fever and a headache (which, in my case at least, both responded to acetaminophen - advil) beats the heck out of a serious respiratory infection.
