He posterized the defender, went around him with a giant step, slammed the ball through at about an 80 degree angle and landed with his leg "too straight" All that weight and height of the jump combined to stress a hyper extended leg. It wasn't horrid to see like some injuries but it did instantly look painful and then he writhed around and the season was hanging by a thread.
I envision the Sixers will bring up the Blue Coats Paul Reed, who is 6'9" and was the league's MVP, and also Isaiah Joe who is 6'3", has a good outside shot but I was very impressed by his defense. He is a real tough defender with great footwork. Mix that in with our newly found big- Tony Bradley and I think we are functional for the 2-3 weeks. Then we have to hope Joel can get back in primo shape.
