Drummond is a great signing, especially at the league minimum. Howard was a good find, but as mentioned above he is a foul machine, “T” machine and the refs seem to just hate him. Drummond is a rebounding machine and adds the same “nasty” presence.

No Center is going to look forward to Embiid coming off the floor. Certainly Drummond is not the offensive force, but he is a guy that other centers hate to defend, supremely physical and is going to fight for everything.

Fan favorite in the making. Great signing and I bet Embiid is happy to not have to work that hard to keep him off the boards anymore.

We need Paul to develop but paul getting significant minutes is probably bad news.

76ers have added Phil Beckner as a coaching consultant, the team confirmed. Beckner, hired in July, is expected to assist the coaching staff in several areas.

Beckner is a former Weber State assistant coach and the longtime trainer for Damian Lillard.

Well yes, that is why I posted it, though the more sensible, if still fantastic, scenario, is that it will simply help them if and when Dame asks for a trade and might otherwise prefer the Knicks or other teams. Fun to dream though.

We shall see. Still think McCollum is probably the best they can do as far as immediate help (vs. the package only being more raw players and picks).

Second year is a team option, too! It was reported both ways; now seems that it IS an option. I love having him back if he plays anything at all like he did this year. They beat Atlanta if he's healthy.

I really can’t say I am excited by Danny Green returning. He seemed the weakest part of the rotation a lot of the time he was out there. He did hit 40% on 3s, but his once very good defense was more suspect and he doesn’t pass well or handle the ball well.

Maybe he is a big locker room guy, and this team does need that with the best players either crazy exuberant (Embiid) or very quiet (Harris, Simmons).

I am guessing it is Green and Seth Curry that do the veteran talking on this team, but once again, no clue.

Green is needed if Simmons does return...he seems to be a good locker room guy and with this offseason, this team has the potential to be a mess next year.

Hard to argue with what the starting 5 did in the regular season (as Morey was quick to point out) but who even know what the rotation/roster is actually going to be in the end (whether a month from now or in November at the deadline).

Green and Curry both very tradeable too.

I think Green has a limited no trade clause...the option is guaranteed if he's traded.

Green is fine defensively if you don't put him on a quick point guard like Trae Young. He's always in the right position, makes the right switches, and is clever with his hands in traffic. He defends 2s and 3s way better than average. That being said, they need some way to slow the jet-quick point guards down at least a bit. You can't play defense at all if the opposing point can get into the lane at will.

Haven't seen that, but I don't think it matters if the reason to move him (and match $) is good enough.

If they trade Ben - or Thybulle - Green's D becomes more of an issue. Especially if the guy they get for Ben plays zero defense.

don't like this information here. is anyone they get as good as Simmons is all around? or is this being done because of the playoff showings? That many 1 firsts PLUS Maxey, wow. just wow.
