You sound like Doc, total denial.
For the 10,000th time, no one is saying Simmons is not a very good player. No one is saying Simmons does not have elite talent. No one is saying that Simmons does not have significant strengths as a player. No one is saying that Simmons needs to be sent packing. Or as Doc said, that Simmons should sit all game long.
All the straw men in the world are not going to add up to a good argument.
The Wizards also disagree with your point because they purposefully fouled Simmons OFF the ball multiple times down the stretch because they, and everyone else in the league, know Simmons is a poor foul shooter and it negates the rest of the 76ers offense. Teams will continue to do this until Simmons proves he will make them pay a price for said strategy.
If neither the player nor the coach are pushing for that skill to be worked on consistently, guess what will happen? It will not improve. Simmons has been in the league for 5 years and has shown little improvement in his foul shooting. He is a career average 59.7% shooter at the free throw line.
