The good news is that Thybulle may be as advertised...the bad news is he's going to take his minutes from Zhaire Smith who is barely playing this preseason.

There will be injuries, both guys will get plenty of chance to show what they can this season if healthy. They are both way up the ladder in the rotation. Minute opportunity wont be the problem, the problem of course is counting on this many guys that have 0 minutes (or nearly) of NBA experience.

While we should not put much weight on the preseason results that see the Sixers blowing mediocre teams out, I've definitely trended more positive in the past few weeks. Though I still worry about outside shooting and crunch-time buckets, this team seems far better defensively with the additions of Horford, Richardson and Thybulle and has a chance to be special from that angle.

Smith is two years younger and needs a lot of time on the court to refine his game. He should be playing frequently for Delaware.

Yes, me too. Odd that we keep getting excited for teams that havent started there season yet, then the reality sets in when they start playing and it becomes obvious what the flaws are.

This should be a very good season for the Sixers, but honestly it all depends on Embiid's health. He is the key between a good team and a team with potential to do something.

They have flaws but when you look around the league you'll notice every contender does.

I agree on Embiid but they are uniquely prepared this year if he does miss time. Horford isn't in the same league but it's not what we've been throwing out there in previous seasons.

Liberty Ballers is sort of a mess in terms of comments--lots of trolls, disorganized comment structure, and many WiP-type contributors.

The RealGM Sixers site is a little better, but not as good a community as this one or BSG.
