I think Green is better than people think. As things currently stand, the Sixers need both him and Curry. Of course if they still get involved in another big deal anything could happen. But things could also wait until the deadline. Both guys are tradeable.

I don't imagine Maxey will be getting Richardson's minutes, as it were, unless he really is a steal. But Richardson was the only other tradeable big salary. They still have some cap/apron moves left to make, I gather.

I agree with this...i read yesterday an expiring contract is an asset right now.

Maxey has been working out with Simmons, Lebron and Rondo...among others...i really am a bit more excited about this season since they seem to have taken steps to improve their shooting and there will be a xtrong focus on defense.

I like the signing, 1 year deal keeps him motivated, he actually had a nice season last year in a back up role, so he's not looking for starter minutes, and he's decent enough if Joel goes down for a stretch.

Barring any big moves, they still need a backup PG

Sixers still have the mid-level exception left to use, so they can still get another good player.

Injury back-up for Embiid, in case Howard can't fill enough minutes. Embiid has missed a ton of games/minutes since coming to Philly. As stated in article, the Sixers haven't seemed that high on Smith.

Thanks to Phillychuck for fixing that. It was on Philly Sports, but when I looked for it at first, it wasn't there for some reason. The mess up to bigegypt's post is on me.
