I would think that trade isn't even very workable cap-wise.
The Sixers are probably going to have to give up a first-round pick or one of their very few good young players to move Horford unless it's an even match of money and desperation to be rid of a player (thus, Hield, or even this Wiggins idea in theory). Even expiring contracts is probably too much to hope for, those are always valuable.
As with the other team we talk about, the question is can they afford to take one year of running in place, regrouping, or do they need to do everything they can to try and get past the second round in Doc's first year.
I just hope Doc's ego and preference for older players doesn't make it too irresistible for him to give it a try. It also makes trading Harris less likely, though you only want to do that if Horford can't be moved.
Hey, at least they just fired the guy whose analytics likely spit out the idea of adding Horford - and the subsequent flawed rotations - in the first place.
