When you look at the possible LHV roster there are a lot of players who could push for PT at some point this season.
Gaucher (25) - strong PO performance, big, good scorer, solid defensively, lacks speed for C but might end up at RW
Dorwart (23) top college FA, decent speed, two way center, 4C candidate
Rizzo (24), top college scorer, lost season due to Appendicitis surgery in early October
Tuomaala (22) - speed, shot, needs to polish game, improve defense and playmaking.
Gendron (22) - speed, quickness, 20 goals in 63 games, needs to get stronger, improve defense and playmaking
Wisdom (23) - strong rebound season, took off when he was put on Gaucher's line
Grebenkin (22) - big, skilled, agile in short area and good passer, has been inconsistent but lot of pro experience at young age (142 KHL, 47 AHL, 7 NHL) could surprise. Top six upside
Barkey (20), captain of Memorial Cup championship London team, once over mono was top CHL scorer, just needs more strength (5'10 170)
Bump (22), top player on NCAA Champions MSU, struggled with pressure against Hershey in AHL POs
Bonk (20), will push for job in TC, should be starting in Philly by end of season, prototype stay at home D-man
Grans (23), steadily improved last two seasons, good sized RHD with some skill
McDonald (23), big mobile LHD, played on 1st pair with Belpedio, top college defensive D-man, showed same skills in AHL, +6 in 7 PO games. Could be Seeler's replacement
Samson (22) - already has two full AHL seasons, Aug B-day, so still runway left, has decent skills and has shown improvement
At some point Briere will want to look at a bunch of these guys to see how they project as depth down the road.
It's up to these players to impress in TC and during the AHL season.
And a strong LHV team is a good environment for players on ATOs at the end of the season.
