Islanders just traded restricted free agent Noah Dobson to Montreal for the 16th and 17th picks. Dobson signed an 8 year, $76M deal. Rumor is the Islanders want to move up and select Hagens. If I'm the Flyers, I'd rather take Hagens at 6 than have 16 & 17. However...Utah might be willing to drop out of the 4th spot, so this might impact Philly if another shoe drops.

I think Pittsburgh with 11&12 is also an interesting spot to move up.

Pretty funny they had Barkley make the pick, and he gave a shout-out to Tocc. I guess with the Flyers you can't trot out a legend that doesn't actually work for the team (or has failed doing so.

there was certainly a good chance he wasn't going to be there at 6. Gotta like the raw material and that he was a C (captain not center). I guess Hagens will now be the what-might-have-been, if not Mcqueen or O'Brien.

I preferred Hagens based on talent. Martone a good second choice. Can’t wait to watch the Martone/Zegas/Michkov line.
