Desnoyers seems to be a polarizing prospect. Some people have him as high as #2 or #3, while others see him as clearly below the tier after Misa, around #9, with the highest bust potential. It will be an active night on Flyers social media if he’s the pick.

I agree with Lego, Eklund getting into range for their trade-up is very unlikely but would be great.

Schaefer and Misa go off of the board at one and two. The Flyers aren't getting either of them unless SJ is amenable to making a deal for two which is possible. Someone will take Martone before the Flyers pick; he scores too much to ignore.
That leaves Desnoyers, Frondell or Hagens for the Flyers. Desnoyers is a late riser sort of like Bennett-Senecke was last year. He had a very good Memorial Cup wile playing with two injured wrists. Frondell has played with the pros in Sweden and done well. He's probably closer to NHL ready than Desnoyers or Hagens. Hagens has been downgraded for having a "weak" D season at an underperforming BC team. If he's still on the board, the Flyers would be foolish not to nab him. While his collegiate play wasn't what was expected of him this past season, his last two years of international play was worthy of a much higher rating than he presently is being given. Get him.

I'd really lilke to move up and snatch Reschny, then a D-man and a goalie and more center depth.

I think the Flyers are fine at wing, especially if Couts moves over in a year or two, but you can never have too many centers, at worst, they're prime trade bait in a league with a paucity of top 9 centers.

Reschny might go higher than is being mocked. Like maybe low/mid teens.

The trade has hurt for a while as Bobs is likely a sure HoFer. Also, that he was traded in order to keep Bryzgalov on the roster and he stayed just one more year.

Understandably he wanted a CS before he died. The analysis at the time was that a top grade goalie could put them over the top. It might have but Bryz was not that guy.
