I think the Flyers would only take Hagens at 3 or 4, if they win the lottery it will be criminally negligent to pass on Schaeffer or Misa for Hagens. I would be surprised if he drops out of the top 4, although I was surprised that Mitchkov fell to 7 and Wright fell to 4, it seems like there are always surprises in the NHL draft so what do I know.

If the flyers were to win the lottery then the draft becomes something they can control. I think if you can get one of the 3 teams behind you to want Schaeffer you trade down to add another asset.

Chicago and Nashville have extra low first rounders to trade.

Flyer need a center and there are a couple of first tier choices.

If they don't win the lottery, then I hope they drop to 6th... any reason to draft Eklund. I don't give a crap about the position (like with Schaefer), the kid is special.

Caps signing Ryan Leonard. Could slot on their 3rd line as soon as tomorrow night in Boston. It will be interesting to see if they integrate him into their playoff lineup. He was the guy drafted after Michkov.

This is going to be an interesting couple of weeks with it becoming a real horse race for the 5th to 8th spot.

But being we're fans of Philadelphia teams they will end up at 8.

It would be a real drag to be in double digits, but what are they gonna do, scratch Michkov? C'est la vie. All these teams beyond the top three are basically mediocre rather than terrible. Hopefully the Flyers will level off again.

One was too slick

He had a couple of others great passes/plays, a breakaway that was close to scoring (and involved a nice catch before getting into the zone), and the team hit a few posts.

Hopefully Drysdale can stay healthy as he's been good this year even though his +/- is terrible.
