There is no question that the media field is evolving. I started out with pretty much radio broadcasts for following the Phillies. WGAL (channel 8 out of Lancaster) carried weekend games (always day games) on many Saturdays and Sundays, so there were some games to watch on TV. At some point, probably early 1960s, a few night games were on TV on channel 15 (Lebanon, I think). Radio was still the old reliable for me for following the Phillies.
By the mid 1960s, I was out of the Phillies' market area and often could not even get the scores of the games. Sometimes the scores were in the paper the next day, but often no score, just the notation night game.
The age of the internet and the vast information available to us all just could not be imagined back in those days.
