I have a funny feeling Sagan is not done and will win a couple stages, he withdrew last year because of knee problems (bursitis), if healthy, he should be in the sprinters mix. I read that there will be less true sprinter stages in the 2022 tour, so stage wins and checkpoint points will be at a premium for the green jersey.

When MLB and MLBPA decided to go with Fanatics over Topps I saw this coming.. IM glad we will still see Topps name on baseball cards.. And hopefully fanatics doesnt screw this up.

I hate that there is exclusivity now. I miss the days when Topps, Upper Deck, Fleer, Score and Donruss all produced sets. With no competition there is little chance for improvement. And the fact that Topps puts out 50 different baseball sets each year proves there is room for more than one manufacturer.

I am watching the Flyers game on ESPN+ (as an out of market viewer) and apparently the next one (Thursday at home against Pittsburgh) is exclusively on ESPN+ (and Hulu). No NBCSN Philly broadcast at all.

NBC to get into the direct to consumer RSN business too:

I think all of these will eventually fail. First they will be the impetus for the remaining cable systems to drop the RSNs. Then viewership advertising dries up as the audience shrinks.

I think the real model going to be opening up in-market streaming to the league packages. Even then I think viewership shrinks though and is that what sport leagues really want in the long term?

MLB at least has decided to postpone the automatic renewal processing that normally would happen tomorrow. Of course I already cancelled (and now have Tmobile for home internet so might get it free anyway).
