Hating the Celtics will become something new for many new sixers fans. In the coming years we should start to see the rivalry we old folks remember...I hope!

Season is about a month away and Embiids status is as mysterious as ever...

I'm at the point now where I seriously would just play him and if he breaks, he breaks. We've gone from cautious to over-cautious to getting next to no value out of him. If he can't go then hopefully, the new slimmed down Jah can be a force.

As I keep saying, Embiid's next fully-healthy season higher than the high school level will be his first here in the United States.

I am basically looking at Embiid as a bonus this season.

I think Fultz and Simmons on the court at the same time will be match-up nightmares for other teams.

Fultz had a really bad first game following a mediocre scrimmage. That's kind of scary. We don't need him to be great this season, but we at least need him to be average and improving.

Fultz had a really bad first game following a mediocre scrimmage. That's kind of scary. We don't need him to be great this season, but we at least need him to be average and improving.

Fultz tinkered with his shot without talking to the team it seems. He's young...he'll learn to work with his coaches on those types of decisions.

It will probably be awhile for Fultz, he never struck me as one of those guys that was coming into the league completely NBA ready, I think he is just a good match for what we need. It wouldnt surprise me if it takes him 20-30 games to just get to be average.

This isnt going to be a great team, it is going to be a team that we look at and see how much talent we have and how that talent needs to work together. It may take all season just to do that.

Unless we're hit by injuries this team should be a little bit over .500...at least that's what I'm hoping for. Last I saw vegas had them at 42.5

Sixers sign Embiid to a 5 year max extension for $148M with a possibility its worth up to $178m but with some degree of salary cap protection if the dude gets injured and misses a lot of time

Meanwhile - and acknowledging that NBA preseason games are likely just as meaningless as NFL or MLB preseason games - the Sixers are being destroyed yet again for the 3rd time in 3 games. I am a believer in The Process, but it's hard to get behind a team that seemed to take a bunch of victory laps before ever winning a game. Simmons and Fultz should spend more time learning to shoot a basketball and less time telling reporters and social media how awesome they are.

How long it takes the rest of the fanbase to realize this is about how long Brown will be the coach of the team. Fultz has a lot of maturing to do physically in the NBA. I can't remember a player who is supposed to be so can't-miss who looks like such a kid.

Well, the team had a choice whether they wanted Embiid or not. Clearly they want him. My comment was to him not playing the pre-season games or full scrimmages up until very recently. It is not at all unusual for an agent to hold a player out while a new contract is being worked out, because if the player is injured in the interim, no contract.
