Not an interesting group…yet. Also they would have had a lot of these guys committed before Chung. Not much written about him yet to know if he’s a boots on the ground kind of guy that Sal was or a coordinator of the native scouts to rely on them.

I was interested to see who was responsible for the Red Sox overhaul of their minor league hitting development because they seem to have gotten rapid improvements correcting issues that a lot of Phillies prospects have (ground ball rate, swing decisions, bat speed).

Seems about right, though I'd have Tait ahead of Caba, what Tait did last season was extraordinary given his age.

That list will change after this off season. I'm afraid two, if not three of those mentioned will be dealt. DD better make a wise decision. any trade of that magnitude will severely hurt the future of the phils. they need more young pitching. These days, probably won't happen because of NIL for the top HS pitchers. How will they do it?

DD managed to make mid-season moves with an upgrade of pitching prospects and the only loss was Bergolla, a solid but surplus prospect.

The farm system has improved, still more work to do, but they're starting to produce starting caliber prospects

I am pretty excited by Chace. Seems a steal that was in a system that was not necessarily using him correctly.

At the same time, it is also a pretty weak 6-10 in that top 10. And the Crawford ranking 5th behind Tait and Caba is as much about doubts in Crawford's upside as it is about the promise of two very high-ceiling but low floor prospects ahead of him.

Not sure I fully agree with that, I think Klaasen was a loss as well, although I understand the trade and think it was reasonable to do.

Even if that is true about Crawford, having a prospect of his caliber at #5 is an indicator of a system that has gotten better. 5 years ago he would have been #1 or #2 without question.

They talked a good bit about the questions that Crawford has- that his ground ball metrics in the minors have very rarely developed into an impactful major league hitter, though most guys with those metrics didn’t have the strength and physical projectability that he has. Also showed poor route running /center field instincts that surprised many.

Did Kemp play OF in the AFL? A review listed him at OF, but I thought he was 2B/3B last season.
He's athletic enough to be a viable LF, and he certainly continued his progress in the AFL.
if so, that would make him a candidate to make the team in ST.

RH in LF, and backup at 2B (letting Stott move to SS if there's a Turner injury), and 3B (Bohm to 1B if there's a Harper injury).
