Not sure why you chose to omit Miram-Webster's primary definition of demented (mad, insane) in favor of top synonyms, or why only after stubbornly refusing multiple attempts by julio, et al., to clarify meaning and misunderstanding you now lay claim to your more charitable tendencies to take a man at his word. But, okay.
I was "less charitable" to what you have written above because you were quick to disparage what others were actually saying, in what appeared to be a desire to simply pigeonhole things into a false narrative. Whatever you later claimed that you said, you clearly stated early on that the establishment - consisting of Dems and the media - were being hysterical in their criticisms of Trump, including Trump/Hitler comparisons.
When discussions over both the practical application of Trump's stated intentions to the actions of Nazi Germany, as well as just who had made previous comparisons, you were quick to dismiss the explanations, jab at others ('Do I also need to tell you the sky is blue?"), and claim you "didn't say that at all" - when a quick look upthread shows what you actually wrote (If you want to clarify meaning or misspeak, that's fine).
At the end of the day, you don't walk into a room wearing brass knuckles and complain when somebody else takes off the kid gloves.
