The point is what may be obvious to you isnât obvious to Trump voters. They donât vote for him in spite of his racism, they donât see him as racist.
The cats and dogs was cringy. I heard it and thought it was from a campaign that was far too online, parroting a rumor that was almost certainly untrue, to make a point about border/immigration policy. Which both parties believe is broken at the moment.
I choose not to take the most uncharitable view reflexively as you seem to. One could easily say Bidenâs âyouâre not black if you donât vote for meâ as racist â seeing a racial group as a monolith and not as individuals, telling them how to vote in a parochial manner, and dismissing their identity if they didnât. I donât think that is true but you donât give the same charity to your political enemies.
And andyb, of course the 74 million is an exaggeration. But when two posters within an hour directly blame misogyny and racism for Hillary and maybe Kamala losses, your conservative snowflake argument does not hold water.
I have also said I am voting for Kamala and am not conservative, but choose not to partake in the partisan wars that are driving this country apart. We agree on many things, if arguing that Trump is not Hitler is controversial and a dealbreaker in discourse here, you are not the moderate Democrats you think yourselves to be but have lost the plot.
