Granted this is one time seeing someone but I saw Chace pitch against JS a few weeks back. He has strikeout stuff for sure.(I believe he had 7 or 8 strikeouts against us) My friend and I who were there thought he had MLB stuff. Which is interesting since we usually concentrate on our prospects when we are there. Really good movement on his pitches. Breaking pitches were really crisp. Had a few JS guys chasing high in the zone. Was pretty impressed with him. Not as good a prospect as Klassen was but he isn't far behind.
Can't speak on Johnson, have not seen him pitch (Yes I do like to see them pitch as well as looking at the stats). Being this is his third team since being drafted I think Chace was probably the main guy in the deal from a Phillies prospective and Johnson was the lottery pick. I have seen some video on Johnson and he does have some Tyler Phillips as someone mentioned earlier.
Given the players that were actually moved at the deadline, DD did just fine. I believe he upgraded the bullpen from SirAnthony and Soto and Hayes is better than Pache. The cost really was Bergolla and a slight downgrade in the pitching prospects we got back for Soto. This team is going to go as the Stars take them
