Franklin now 1-15 against AP Top 5 teams. Ohio State 4-1 against them just this year (including the win over PSU).
I think the time will still come. He is pretty much in Tom Osborne/Bobby Bowden territory, guys who needed a long time to win a national championship and in most cases would have been fired by today's rhythms - but not necessarily with better results if they had been. And Franklin's buyout makes him pretty much unfireable. Either way he'd actually have to perform like Jimbo Fisher did (11-11 his last two season) to get to that point.
But might be nice to win a Big 10 title, or at least control their own destiny into Indy. Which merely requires actually beating Ryan Day.
