Honestly the problem is still that college football has no idea what to be in 2026. This (expelling LSU) isn't actually going to happen, it's just part of the power struggle and legal battle. And I reckon the courts will still see it LSU's way ultimately, if Congress never does anything or the NCAA doesn't have collective bargaining. The idea used to be that once you get paid to play football you can't be a college football player, but that's not true anymore. Heck, did Dae'Quan Wright even get paid (by the Eagles or the Browns) a penny since had didn't actually make a roster or appear in a game?
But LSU has also already surrendered since that story was published.
