I don't care if it is the seventh game of the World Series. If it goes 18 innings, I'm not staying up for it.

Good luck to the Jays, I hope they can scratch out a run in the bottom of the 9th.

Wild stuff. I didn't get to watch much of it but that is pretty wild, 9 hitter goes yard with Ohtani and Will Smith on deck (and Hoffman still got those guys).

Hard to believe Hernandez and Pages didn't collide and blow it on that fly ball.

Bunt seems questionable to me.

Excellent cliffhanger baseball. I'm bummed that the Jays lost, but as baseball drama goes, it was a top notch set of games. The outcome of the series was never assured until the final out.

In tight games like this, every mistake is amplified. For instance, the play at the plate with the bases loaded was a force play; however, the runner decided to slide into home plate. There's no reason to slide into home plate. Everybody knows that when you slide, your momentum slows down. Had the runner just run through home plate, he would have scored and won. The runner should have been aware of the situation, but habit and emotion likely clouded his thinking.

Former Phillie, Hoffman, blows the game for the Jays.

The unfortunate part is that Hoffman had a great Postseason but this is what will be remembered.

That's just the job. He was only so-so all season, with a HR/9 of 2.0, so impressive but also surprising he hadn't allowed one all post-season up to that point. I feel like because he didn't lose the same and because there was so much else involved, it's not quite a Mitch Williams (or even Orion Kerkering) situation. Arguably he was already that for the Phillies in the Mets series last year (blew Game 1, was responsible for three of the four runs on the Estevez grand slam to lose Game 4).
