I'd pretty much forgotten him, for a second I thought it was David Dellucci who has probably been retired for a very very long time.

10th overall pick that had 3 nice 850+ OPS years to start his career and I remember he made lists of players expected to break out since he was 22 on his debut. But Colorado probably masked his offensive deficiencies and he was really an injury prone platoon player.

Yeah once you posted I remembered (it was, after all, just last year). Could have been a useful LHB, but also didn't seem like he was a very good fielder anymore either.

Some guys at his age try to hang on as a AAAA player or hope for one last call-up and some don't.
